RESI
Rendered Embodiment of Social Interaction (RESI) is an immersive audiovisual installation built to help the community visualize their real-time biometric fluctuations while interacting with one another. We integrate brain data and the mind-body processes into generative visuals and engaging soundscapes, revealing the invisible undercurrents of human connection, illuminating how our bodies respond and resonate with one another.
Our piece highlights our natural inclination as humans to reach for interpersonal resonance. With RESI, we capture brainwaves, heart rate, and skin conductivity of participants with our custom sensor suit to transform the data (in real-time), into compelling, immersive visual and audio display using Max/MSP and Ableton.
RESI is an interactive neurofeedback audiovisual installation. An abstract exploration of human interaction that uniquely blends neurotechnology, psychophysiology, social neuroscience, and hyperscanning—the measurement of brain activity from multiple people at the same time—to artistically conceptualize social interactions.
