Project GreenWisp is an interactive digital waste assistant iPad app that helps passerby of waste stations put their waste in the correct bins. The app is designed to be mounted on top of waste stations such as those containing trash, compost, and recycling. GreenWisp achieves this through the use of cute colorful "kawaii" style animated waste characters that can get the attention passerby bringing waste to a waste station. GreenWisp can also identify certain items using object detection machine learning technoloiges and trigger an additional animation when the user brings known items near the iPad. GreenWisp is also highly customizable and waste station admin's can easily create and name different waste categories and assign items to each cateogry.
