Mission Nula

By
Paola Solorzano Bravo

Mission Nula is a fun and educational board game that teaches young people about major factors affecting climate change and practices for positive change. The player's mission is to make their way around the board to collect all the climate icons and stop the impacts of climate change. Every player starts the game at their designated ‘Start’ space.
All players start the game with 10 time tokens. Each token represents 1 year of time you have before the effects of climate change become irreversible (and it’s game over). Players then take turns rolling both the water & fire dice as well as the numbered dice to make their way to all of the checkpoints in sequential order. Rolling a water or a fire symbol on the dice can grant players benefits or disadvantages, like gaining or losing time tokens.
This can make the difference between winning the game or losing it all.
