Buff Trax is a reimagined uphill skiing traction system designed to replace ski skins with a compact, one size fits all, and user-friendly alternative. Buff Trax addresses common issues such as bulk, glue failure, ski-specific sizing, and slow transitions. Buff Trax introduces a modular device that attaches to skis in seconds and functions across virtually any setup. Instead of relying on adhesive textiles, the system uses the skis design to its own advantage to create a slide on/ pop-off attachment.

The project follows an iterative design process combining research, CAD modeling, and rapid prototyping through 3D printing and fabrication. On-snow testing and user feedback informed refinements in material choice, ridge design, and attachment mechanisms to ensure durability and ease of use in real conditions.
